  5. ----------
  6. MaxsBBS is the friendliest bbs system around at the moment, despite its
  7. current limitations. The purpose of this patch, and hopefully subsequent
  8. patches is to increase the capabilities of maxsbbs V1.52.

  11. What
  12. ----
  13. This patch removes the "File Size Has Changed" requestor from the CheckFiles
  14. Function. This is very useful if you add banners to archived files which
  15. change the archives size. When you use the checkfiles command every file
  16. would normally cause a "File Size Has Changed" requestor and would need
  17. a response from yourself. This patch removes this requestor and makes the
  18. defualt choice "Fix It". So your file.data will be updated automatically.
  19. Other Requestors such as "Can't Find that File" are left untouched

  24. Easy, I've just inserted the instruction NOP (No Operation) where MaxsBBS had
  25. the call to the requestor subroutine.

  35. I did not remove the accompanying "beep" that gets played when the file size
  36. has changed. There was no need to, and it also lets you know how many files
  37. have changed. (Read, I couldn't be bothered :).

  40. USAGE

  43. To apply the patch to maxsbbs1.52 just type the patches name and pass
  44. it the path and name of the maxsbbs file.

  48. MaxsPatch152 DH0:MaxsBBS
  49.              ^^^^^^^ Change this to the name of the BBS executable.
